Company Director

My late husband James had a passion for building and he loved this company. Even through his six-year battle with cancer he still treasured the opportunity to work alongside his mates and create beautiful homes. I share James’ love of building so it was only natural that I wanted to continue delivering the homes he would be proud of, alongside his trusted colleague, Caarn.


Caarn and I make a great team, with him onsite and me providing the management support and financial oversight that are crucial to keeping timescales and budgets on track.


Whether you’re an architect looking for a builder you can trust or a homeowner weighing up the investment you’re about to make in your home, my job is to be make sure open and clear communication always keeps you informed. Every day of the project, I’ll be supporting Caarn and the team by keeping on top of the budgets, timeframes and the schedule for sub-contractors.

CAARN DAVIDSON

Director

I had the good fortune to complete my apprenticeship with James. This was an opportunity to combine the eye for detail a boatbuilding back ground had given me with James’ commitment to superb carpentry.


As the Director who spends most of his time on site, I play a key role in making sure that every project benefits from the workmanship and professionalism Trueline is renowned for, whether we’re building a contemporary architectural statement or faithfully recreating a heritage gem. 


This means being closely involved with every stage of a build or renovation; sharing my experience with our clients and the rest of the team, and liaising with tradesmen, council employees, and the architect to deliver a seamless project flow.



Maintaining Trueline’s exceptional standards in workmanship is a critical focus for me. This includes ensuring that our subcontractors are motivated by a quality control ethic that runs through everything we do. That’s how a small team can consistently deliver a great result, and we’re  immensely proud of that.

The team for your project

Our dedicated workforce of 10, includes highly experienced foremen, carpenters, and an accounts/office management resource. We are also an enthusiastic supporter of apprentices, because we are passionate about teaching the next generation to become quality builders and deliver the results our customers expect.


For the most part, our team consists of local people who have been with the company for a long time; we’re a tight team that shares the same ideals.

Trueline’s relationships with building materials suppliers and sub-contractors are vital to providing a comprehensive and hassle-free service to our clients, which is why everyone who has a leading role to play, including sub-contractors, is on site at the very beginning to scope and cost the job and to be introduced to the homeowners. This ensures complete clarity and confidence and is a major contributor to the excellent experiences our clients consistently report.
